This project aims to examine the qualities in Konstfack’s
exhibition spaces in order to present suggestions for improvement.
By placing an overarching theme – heritage – at the centre of the analysis,
the project’s reflections and designs are shaped by this focus area.

The context of the project is an art college that in 2004 moved into
a former telephone factory. Viewing the context of this building as a
‘renovation of a renovation’, and simultaneously highlighting the purpose of the site
as an art college, the project enables exploration of questions of spatial heritage
and transferral. How spaces are inherited, transformed and passed down between
generations.
