This project is about a year ago, when I returned to my motherland (Colombia) for the first time, trying to reconnect with my relatively unknown origins as an adoptee. It was a partly unsuccessful journey that ended with a concussion, impaired hearing and several weeks in a wheelchair.

The consequences of this new life as injured, dizzy, and partially deaf led me to begin practicing TM (Transcendental Meditation), which has changed my life for the better.

The meditation armchair is made from two broken hospital beds that I recycled. It is designed for meditation and rest, incorporating various functions retained from the hospital beds.

It was from the bed I fell and changed.
It was in the hospital bed I received the diagnosis.
It was in the bed I healed.
