How does fine art fit into the school subject of visual arts? Which discourses emerge when visual arts teachers talk about fine art? With an underlying (and almost forbidden) conception of the obscure fine art, I examine its place in the subject of visual arts. At Konstfack’s Degree Exhibition 2026, I am exhibiting sculptural works of found objects, and what I have discovered in art teachers’ assertions and previous research.
