- An Exploration in Being and Becoming
‘hello friend, who are you?
you, on the other side of the street, the hallway, the classroom, the carriage, the zoom screen…
I sense you,
but I don’t know you.
it’s like when like poles meet,
and something holds its breath.’
—
“Hello Friend” is a journey through fragments, images, and movements.
An attempt to come closer to a voice that hasn’t always had words,
a body that hasn’t always been allowed space,
a memory that moves between the visible and the hidden.
The work moves through questions of inheritance, roots and dignity,
through experiences of being shaped in a context where language does not always suffice.
Movement is resistance.
at the same time, there is a longing for rest.
It is an exploration of what has been forgotten or pushed aside,
and a desire to make it shareable.
An opening towards something else.
Perhaps towards connection.
