Tudelooo,
In my degree project, I have explored my textile practice and my textile thinking, as I work both physically and mentally with my sexy craft (weaving). Through a textile addiction, I have managed to create a monster, or has the project turned me into the monster?
Using a traditional loom and basic weaving knowledge, I have created a large tapestry with images of ambivalent expressions such as sorrow, humour, ‘lallish’, and eyes shedding tears over history.
Using materials from the legendary Sten Kauppi, I weave carefully and feel honoured by the opportunity to let Swedish cultural heritage be a part of this work. “Chorus of Crying Creatures That Want to Talk, but They Can’t” is a puzzle piece for the future and upcoming projects.
I think I think too much.
