Between Rescue and Kill
Karl Salmonsson (He/him)
Sweden, b. 1994
From El Paso, through Agry Town and Rio Bravo, coming up to Sweetwater, before landing in The Alamo, this is a story about material blending into fiction. This is a story told through objects, about cowhide and gunslingers. It is about creating a spaghetti furniture universe.
Cowhide is here a starting point to examine the fictional life of the cowboy. Coming to the rescue or shooting to kill are not opposites in this work, but a way of having a conversation about emotions for material.
