I explore the emotional abilities of objects, particularly within the domestic space. I focus on the inherent qualities they hold and investigate how these can be brought into a more public space. Returning to objects of childhood and memory becomes a way of approaching their capacity to hold emotion and meaning. As my hands work, my vision expands. I look for things, and within them I catch glimpses of intensity. I search for traces and feel longing.

Translating the objects into another material is a way for me to understand them differently. By working with different scales and taking things out of their context, I draw attention to things that are sometimes overlooked. It creates a world of shapes and colors that feels somehow familiar yet amiss and almost hard to grasp at first glance. Where emotional, symbolic and metaphorical qualities are emphasized rather than the practical function of things.
