In “Nocturnal Rites”, nights from Barcelona during 2015–2018 become memories that never quite end. The DV camera’s fragments of dance, community and nightclub scenes gradually dissolve into textures of light and movement. Through animated textures, faces and bodies drift toward abstraction, the way nostalgia rewrites the past, not as it was, but as it felt.
