“4 Elements: Reveries” is an exploration of the four elements: earth, air, fire, and water. The project is influenced by the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard’s thoughts on ‘rêverie’ – active daydreaming – as a creative method and state. Through reverie as method, I explore the associations that arise in the artist’s consciousness in relation to the four elements. Each work thereby becomes a daydream in physical form.
