In this degree project, fleeting moments merge with the slow passage of time and the traces they leave behind.

A photograph, captured over several days with a homemade pinhole camera, emerges faintly like a veil of essential lines. Inspired by a unique photographic process, the artist imbues time and transience with a rich colour palette. Like a film strip, we observe fragments illustrating the passage of time. Carefully preserved old window frames define and emphasise different segments, depending on our position in the room.

Anna Riedl explores the curiosity surrounding physical presence and its significance, inviting us to be uncompromisingly present in the now. She reflects on the beautiful and fleeting aspects of life that evoke a sense of meaning, as well as those enduring memories we wish to cherish.
