I am a material romantic.

I explore material as a method for creating. By not resisting the flow and irregularities in the material, I create a dialogue. This dialogue helps me create with respect for both the raw material and my vision. I find something primal in letting myself be swept by the material currents, and something poetic in the simplicity.

With inspiration from the philosophy of ‘wabi-sabi’, and an ever-growing grudge against the digital society, I want to portray the intimate beauty that is nature and its materials.
