{"id":451,"date":"2026-05-11T11:57:22","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T09:57:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/konstfack2026.se\/?p=451"},"modified":"2026-05-11T11:57:22","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T09:57:22","slug":"lilly-ellen-dormeier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/konstfack2026.se\/en\/master-en\/ma-sd\/lilly-ellen-dormeier\/","title":{"rendered":"Lilly Ellen Dormeier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Richard Senneth wrote in his essay \u201cThe Open City\u201d from 2006 \u2018(\u2026)the problem of citizen participation is how people can feel connected to others, when, necessarily, they cannot know them\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>My degree project \u201cBeisammensein\u201d, the German word for \u2018togetherness\u2019, questions our contemporary ways of living next to each other.<br \/>\nIt explores the questions of how spatial design can let us feel connected, when essentially, we are living in a \u2018connected, yet disconnected\u2019 world.<br \/>\nDrawing from reflections on shared presence, the project translates these explorations into the familiar spatial setting of the public interior of a caf\u00e9.
